I became an Ofsted registered childminder in February 2009, and work in the Weeping Cross area of Stafford, UK. I aim to provide a safe 'home from home' environment where children have fun and feel'part of the family'. Before starting childminding I was a qualified teacher with 4 years experience working in primary schools, and a further 6 year experience in special schools working with children aged 4 to 16 with a range of learning difficulties and physical needs.

Stepping Stones first opened in 2003 with one nursery based in Weston, Cheshire. As a result of our success the Director, Maria Bradbury, expanded the team and took over two more nurseries inStoke-on-Trent: Stepping Stones Broom and Stepping Stones Grange. We offer daycare, pre-school, and out of school care throughout all of our settings, catering for children from 3 months to 12 years old.

We aim to provide a high quality learning experience both indoors and outdoors in which we actively encourage children to be creative and to develop confidence in their own worth and abilities, thuspreparing them in the best possible way for their learning journey. Due to the growing demand and popularity of our service, in 2011 we opened an additional building at the rear of the family house which contains a further three rooms.
