This framework sets out the standards for the learning, development and care of children, from birth to the end of foundation stage (31st August after the childs 5th birthday). Offering full day care for six-months to seven year-old children. Employing mature & fully qualified professional staff. The nursery is open 8am. to 6pm. Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. The nursery will close for one week at Christmas, Bank Holidays and one day extra at August Bank Holiday for staff training.
Children are cared for in three areas. Whilst we loosely group children according to age, transitions between rooms are planned depending on children's individual abilities and levels of confidence. For example, a child may move out of the baby room before they are 2 years old if they are confident and ready to move to the next step.
