Lutley Acorns After School & Holiday Club offers a safe, nurturing environment for children to play, grow and learn. We provide after school care to children attending Lutley Primary School andholiday care for children aged 4-12 years in Halesowen and the surrounding areas. We plan and prepare age appropriate activities including arts & crafts, cooking, group games and much more. We also have a large outdoor area, enabling us to arrange a variety of sport activities.

Increasing demands are being made on child care facilities, since all parents want the very best for their children, right from their very first learning experiences. In addition, there is now amarked trend towards intellectual education for children, but still children also need to play, move, get enough exercise and discover their own bodies.

The older children in the nursery enjoy Leaps & Bounds (Tumble Tots) sessions, which provide further variety to their physical play. Children are very enthusiastic when participating in these sessionsand are gaining good control of their bodies. All chlidren move freely and confidently within designated areas of the nursery. They delight in the excellent range of activities, which they tackle enthusiastically.

Charlie's House is run from Charlie's own home. We are registered with Ofsted to care for up to 9 children under 5 with three members of staff. Our small group setting allows us to get to know thechildren and parents really well, and therefore provide your child one-to-one loving, nurturing, flexible childcare, in an environment which is similar to your child being at home with you.

2014 sees Henwood playgroup celebrating 46 years of delivering quality childcare in the community of Compton. If you would like to become involved do not hesitate to approach either a member of staffor a committee member. You will be warmly welcomed! Numerous fund raising events take place during the year, plus social evenings arranged so that you can join in as much or as little as you'd like. Staff members are called "Aunties" by the children.
