About the Business
My name is Jill Rickard. I am an Advanced Accredited, Registered, Quality Assured Network Childminder based in the Canford Heath area of Poole in Dorset. I am a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and have been registered as a childminder since July 1996. I am registered to look after six children under eight. We are a non-smoking household. I undergo regular training to keep my standards to a high level and have completed an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development. All the children in my care know that they are valued. I regularly praise them and feel it's important for a childminder to be a good role model and to value each child's individuality. I think social skills are very important and encourage the children to take turns and say "please" and "thank you".
