We are a caring, family-run nursery located in central Huntingdon, adjacent to the One Leisure swimming pool and behind St. Peter's Secondary School. Originally founded in 1998, we were first based ina large, detached Victorian property close to the ring road. However, just like the Hungry Caterpillar grew and grew, we too found ourselves needing more space and in August 2011 moved to our current beautiful home on Spring Common.
The playgroup is situated on land adjacent to Priory Park Infant School, to which the majority of our children progress. Priory Park Playgroup is committed to providing all children with a safe,caring and stimulating environment to enhance their personal development and learning.
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher and have been teaching and working in schools for 15 years. I have taught children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2 as well as being a team leader and a schoolgovernor. I have a daughter and we enjoy playing, interacting with friends and exploring new situations.
The Ladybird Play and Toddler Group is a popular and well-established community run playgroup that caters for children under 5 years. With three different age-specific groups for the children toattend we provide a happy and safe environment for your child to play, learn and blossom. Our children benefit from excellent Early Years education within our warm and spacious environment and beautiful outdoor learning area.
Sadly due to a number of factors, the most significant being financial considerations, it was no longer viable for us to continue to operate. We would like to thank all of the children, parents andcarers who have made Pear Tree such a wonderful setting. To the amazing team of professionals working at Pear Tree I would like to say a personal thank you. You are all wonderful individuals and talented childcare practitioners. It has been very special to me to have you all as colleagues and friends.
The preschool group is run in our purpose built building adjacent to Mayfield Primary School. The toddler group meets in the community room at Mayfield Primary School. All of our key staff are wellqualified and experienced and all adults working with the children on a regular basis have enhanced criminal records checks and background checks.
Cambridge Day Nursery, at 67a Milton Road, Cambridge, CB4 1XA, is open 51 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm, caring for children from birth to five years in separate rooms andwith separate staff who provide continuity of care for children and parents. As well as full time care, we offer morning, afternoon, single or half days, or any combination that may suit you if you are working.
