I am an experienced Ofsted and Derby Council registered nanny for special needs children, with particular knowledge in epilepsy. I have undergone paediatric first aid training, portage and TACPACtraining, along with attending other various courses. I also have public liability insurance and a clean driving licence. I often take the baby in my care to various classes and groups specific to her needs in order to aid development.

Our nursery environments foster a sense of community and cooperation with respect for each child, regardless of race, gender or disability. At the Carlton, we understand the balance between nurturingdeveloping minds and caring for tender spirits. Parents go to work knowing their children are happy, safe and well cared for.

We recruit the only the best, highly-qualified, passionate and committed staff and we invest heavily in furthering their knowledge, enhancing their skills and retaining them. We've created an open andsupportive culture where our team are encouraged to take the initiative, develop their career, enjoy coming to work and make a real difference to every child's day.

I have been a childminder in Sawley for over 20 years, and pride myself on offering a comprehensive and flexible service for parents, and an enjoyable and safe environment for children. I encourageparents to visit us both during a childminding day, and also when it is quieter to discuss arrangements, agreements, permissions etc. I hope the information here will help you in your choice of childcare.

A word from the proprietor: As a mother of four young children myself, I can relate to the feeling most parents experience when making the decision to place their baby into the care of someone else.Fortunately for me I had already established The Cottage when my first daughter was born. My own experiences and needs as a working mum have helped develop the nursery to the standard it is today. We all need to know when we leave our children that they will be happy, fulfilled, safe and cared for.
