I have used a childminder myself for a few years whilst working as a teacher and I understand how important it is for parents to know that their child is safe and happy while they go to work. I wasvery lucky with my childminder and I am aiming to provide such a safe and happy place for the children in my care. I feel that continuity and routine is one of the most important things for children to feel safe. Communication with parents is the key to provide this continuity and routine.

The whole of the downstairs of our house is dedicated to childminding including a playroom and living room. We have a back garden which is secure and childfriendly - it also has a great wildlife area.During the spring and summer months we will be planting vegetables and fruits in the garden to make into delicious treat to eat at the end of the summer.
